I have written a quick&dirty bash script to check which gateway is still working and switch to it. It also switches back to the primary gateway as soon as it is available again. The script can be called on a regular basis via cron.

Check Flight Prices for Next Week
Someone asked if it is possible to view the flight prices for next week. Obviously one could go to a website like kayak, input the flight dates and view the prices. But, if you want to do this every day you will have to enter the dates every day. LaTeX todonotes for printing
The LaTeX package <code>todonotes</code> is nice for added todo-notes to documents. The problem is the default settings (orange colored background) will waste printer ressources if you print intermediate versions of the document.
